Qin JIANG is a professor in the Department of History, School of Humanities in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He mainly works on the socioeconomic history in late Imperial China, including the Imperial Exam system and social mobility, the traditional rural industries, adopting theories and methods in social sciences.
