Center for Anti-fascist War Studies

Chair Professor Lu Tonglin joined the Department of History in 2013 and started the research on the history of the War of Resistance against Japan. “China’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression from the International Perspective” , a major project of the National Social Science Fund led by her, explores Westerners’. especially Americans’ viewpoints as regards China’s Resistance against Japan, and collects the overseas historical materials of China’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. In December 2014, the “Center for Anti-facist War Studies” with her as the chief expert was approved as the Shanghai Social Science Innovation Research Base. The center officially started on September 17, 2015.
