Center for Maritime History

Center for Maritime History was jointly established with the Academic Research Department of the China Maritime Museum in 2019. Takeshi Hamashita, the foreign academician of the American Academy of Sciences and professor of Sun Yat-sen University, and also a visiting professor of our department, is the key adviser of the center. In 2019, we co-organized an international conference with The China Maritime Museum, and hosted the International Summer School named “East Asian International Relations in Maritime History”.
